The Freehold Boro girls soccer team is making school history this fall with a record-breaking season that stands as the best of any fall sport—and the program’s strongest record in the past eight years (9-5). With a combination of skill, chemistry, and determination, the Colonials have proven themselves as one of the most dominant teams in recent memory.
Leading the offensive charge are standout players Alison Espinoza (So.), Shea Patmore (Jr.), Mandi Guo (Fr.), and Gabby Baralus (Jr.), who have been the driving force behind the team’s scoring success. Espinoza has emerged as the team’s leading goal scorer, finding the back of the net eight times this season, while Patmore, Guo, and Baralus have consistently contributed key goals and assists in clutch moments.
On the defensive end, Kate Atkinson (Sr.) and Emily Xavier (So.) have been vital to the Colonials’ success, anchoring a back line that has shut down some of the toughest offenses in the conference. Their strong positioning, communication, and leadership have provided stability and confidence for the entire team. Behind them, goalkeeper Makayla Koltunicki (Jr.) has been outstanding, earning a three-game shutout streak that highlights her quick reflexes and composure under pressure.
Currently sitting second in their division, the Colonials are hungry to finish on top. With their sights set on capturing the B-North Division title, the team is pushing harder than ever as they move into the upcoming Coaches Cup tournament—another competition they’re determined to win. Fueled by confidence, chemistry, and an unbreakable team spirit, the Freehold Boro girls soccer team has proven that this season is just the beginning of something special.
