The Freehold Boro field hockey team entered the 2025 season with a strong preseason, focusing on rebuilding teamwork, improving communication, and strengthening both offensive and defensive strategies. Throughout August, the team dedicated itself to conditioning and skill development, creating a positive team culture, and preparing to compete against some of the Shore Conference’s toughest programs. The players built strong chemistry during scrimmages and practices, setting the tone for a season built on effort, resilience, and growth.
As September unfolded, the Colonials faced a challenging opening month filled with competitive matchups. Despite some early struggles, the team earned impressive victories over Ranney (1–0) and Neptune (2–0), showing their ability to play with discipline and intensity. Even in tough losses, Freehold Boro’s defense stayed organized, and the offense continued to develop confidence with each game. The month highlighted the team’s determination and improvement, proving that they could compete with any opponent when playing together.
