For those looking ahead to the 2023-2024 high school year as a possibility to attend a magnet school or program, Freehold High School has planned Open Houses for each of the three programs hosted: the Medical Sciences Program, the Culinary Arts / Hospitality Program, and the Computer Science Program. Eighth-grade students and their parents are encouraged to come and listen to student and faculty representatives from each program in order to see what it takes to participate in the rigorous curricula.

The date of the Computer Science Program Open House has already passed, having been hosted on October 13th. Mr. McCafferty, teachers, and current Computer Science students spoke about the program and its expectations to a full auditorium and a full gym. The approaching dates for the other open houses are as follows: October 25th for the Medical Sciences Program, and November 3rd for the Culinary Program. Students from both are encouraged to come and help to show off their programs.

In addition, those in the National Honors Society interested in volunteering still have the opportunity to sign up and aid in the events, with sign ups capping at twenty volunteers. The forms are available on the Google Classroom under Volunteer Opportunities.
