Here Comes Summer Time

Here comes summer time,

The sun is out, and the weather is prime.

The end of school is near,

As we say goodbye to another year.

Finals have been taken,

But don’t be mistaken.

In 76 days,

It’s back to writing essays.

No more homework for weeks,

No new math techniques.

No more stressing about a test,

Now we can finally rest.

The classrooms will be empty and still,

And the vending machines don’t need to refill.

Dust will collect on unopened books,

And forever lost items will remain in their nooks.

Waking up in the early mornings will soon start up again,

But for now, in summer, we can relax and rest till then.
