Potato, so humble and simple, so plain

Underneath the soil they wait, nurtured by the rain

Whether it be mashed, baked, cooked, or fried,

Potato’s versatility cannot be denied

Hash browns, tater tots, or just plain ol’ french fries

Just its presence is enough to excite everyone’s hungry eyes

Earth’s treasure, simple yet worth more than gold

In the fields, or on a plate, a story worth being told.
