On October 27, 2023, Taylor Swift released her re-recorded version of 1989, also known as 1989 (Taylor’s Version). This album was originally released in 2014, but due to her old record company, she didn’t have the rights to own the album.

She states on social media, “I was born in 1989, reinvented for the first time in 2014, and a part of me was reclaimed in 2023 with the re-release of this album I love so dearly.”

There was a lot of anticipation for this album, as 1989 is recognized as one of Taylor’s best albums. On this album, there are 21 songs. Including 5 new songs from the vault.

There is also a 1989 (Taylor’s Version) [Deluxe] with an extra song, “Bad Blood (feat. Kendrick Lamar) (Taylor’s Version)” that was released later on in the day.

Here are my top 5 songs in this album:

  1. Out Of The Woods (Taylor’s Version)
  2. You Are In Love (Taylor’s Version)
  3. I Wish You Would (Taylor’s Version)
  4. Clean (Taylor’s Version)
  5. Now That We Don’t Talk (Taylor’s Version)(From The Vault)
