Poetic Rizz (Charisma) to Use at Your Disposal

As teenagers with a social media presence, many of us have seen the trend on Tiktok, Twitter, and Instagram of people coming up with innovative stanzas as a way to sway over their crush. This activity is called poetic rizz. What does Riz even mean? As dictionary.com states, “Rizz is a slang term for skill in charming or seducing a potential romantic partner, especially through verbal communication. It is most commonly applied in the context of men pursuing women, but not always.” As a humble moderator, I’m here to offer my opinion on some of the best I’ve seen so far. So without further ado, here are some of the top 5(ranked worst to best) on the trend sweeping the nation.

Starting off with a classic, this line is an easy way to have who you desire sway your way. Don’t shoot them this text during regular hours. This text is more of a lowkey vibe. This one should definitely be kept in the back pocket ready to be used.

This “rizz” is a great backwards joke for your friends. Sometimes this can be seen as a morale booster or a dirty joke just to get back at someone. Good to keep this on deck anytime the group chat gets too heated.

This is something I would only send on valentines day. This line contains some of the smoothest pickup rizz I’ve ever heard to date. Honestly, as John Rutledge states, “Bring it on home John B.”

Another “roast rizz” to be used only with some of your best friends. Another backwards joke that can be sent to one of your group chats that needs to be silenced. It’s another great thing to keep on deck anytime the group chat gets too heated.
