On March 3rd and 4th, our school’s very own dramatic arts club will present “Little Shop of Horrors”, a musical about a young orphan botanist and his interesting plant. The musical is based on the 1960’s movie by Roger Corman, you might recall watching a small clip of it during the state testing last year. The book and lyrics are by Howard Ashman, the music is by Alan Menken, and the screenplay is by Charles Griffith.

Our school’s production is directed by Ms. Sweeney and co-directed by Mr. Gunther, who is also in charge of creating the set. The musical will star Joe Field as Seymour Krelborn, Krishna Patel as Audrey, Mantis Cacioppo as Mr. Mushnik, and Alex Brichkov as Audrey 2. The musical also features five urchins played by Emily Richards, Isabelle DeLeon, Heleina Pace, Cailin Holley, and April Medvedich. The musical also has a large ensemble making a cast of 25 talented actors.

I highly recommend you come out and support these actors, as well as all the hard work they’ve put into this show. You can buy tickets at fhsdac.booktix.com. In addition to supporting our musical, make sure to support the musicals at other schools. The drama clubs at all the schools in our district are self-funded, so the more people that buy tickets the better their future productions can be. Hope to see you in the audience! Thanks for supporting our drama club, as well as the talented actors who put in a lot of hard work.
