This year, the 65th annual Grammy Awards were held at the Crypto.com Arena in L.A. on February 5, 2023. This award show recognized the best recordings, composition, music, and artists running from October 1, 2021 to September 30, 2022.

 

Best Song – “Just Like That” By Bonnie Raitt

This song beat Lizzo’s “About Damn Time”, Adele’s “Easy on Me”, Harry Styles’s “As it Was”, Taylor Swift’s “All Too Well (10 Minute Version)”, and Steve Lacy’s “Bad Habit”.

 

Album of the Year – “Harry’s House” By Harry Styles

Outperformed “Renaissance” by Beyonce, “30” by Adele, “Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers” by Kendrick Lamar, “Special” by Lizzo, “Un Verano Sin Ti” by Bad Bunny, and “Music of the Spheres” by Coldplay.

 

New Artist – Samara Joy

She’s a 23 year old American Jazz singer. She released her self-titled debut album in 2021. Her Album was also named Best New Artist by JazzTimes.

 

Record – “About Damn Time” By Lizzo

It surpassed“As it Was” by Harry Styles, “Easy on Me” by Adele, “Bad Habit” by Steve Lacy, “BREAK MY SOUL” By Beyonce, and “Woman” by Doja Cat.
