Are Concert Movies a Good Thing?

This year we have seen the rise of concert movies from many famous artists, including Beyonce and Taylor Swift.

Beyonce released her concert film “Renaissance: A Film By Beyonce” on December 1st, 2023, and the film has grossed $30.9 million in the United States and Canada (As of December 17th). Taylor Swift also released her concert film “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” on October 13, 2023, which has grossed over $250 million (globally).

So what makes these concert films so successful? With the increase in concert sales and ticket prices, most fans are unable to get their hands on tickets to go to the concert in person. But with the release of concert films, fans can experience the concert first-hand as if they were there.

I think this is a great experience and opportunity for fans who are unable to see their favorite artists. It’s cheaper and less crowded. Plus with these concert films, people are given the chance to look at the concert from a whole new perspective. What do you think?
