End of the Season: Winter 22-23

The Freehold Boro Girls’ swimming team finished in the middle of their division with an even 5-5 record and the boys ended with a record of 3-8. Senior Dan Listor competed in the Individual State Championships where he took third in the Individual Medley and second in the Breaststroke Final.

As for basketball, the girls had a 9-14 record at the end of the season. Sophomore Christina Sikaras was named to the 2023 Shore Conference Most Improved team. Sikaras was the team leader for points while Junior Breanna Cies had the most rebounds and Sophomore Sayuri Penaranda had the most steals. Freehold boys basketball finished with a record of 8-16, they got into the first round of the NJSIAA Tournament but fell to Ewing to bring their season to a close. Sophomore Brian Tassey led the team in points and rebounds this season and Junior Christian DiGiso was the leader for steals. Tassey and DiGiso were both named to Shore Sports Network All Division Teams.

Freehold ice hockey – along with their teammates from Raritan and Colts Neck – finished 7-13. They made it to the quarter final of the Dowd Cup but lost to Middletown South.

The wrestling team was 6-12 and made it to the Shore Conference Tournament, final round. Seniors Angelo Messina and Joe Berryman both competed at the NJSIAA State Individual Championships in Atlantic City.
