Fall Fashion 2021

During the last school year, most students participated in virtual learning, not really paying attention to their outfits, or anyone else’s. Now, with being back in person, fashion has found its way back into the lives of students; it’s something to look forward to each morning when getting ready for a long day of in-person learning. That being said, here are some of the most fashionable trends of the season:

This season, anytime one leaves the house, they’re more than likely to spot sage green or chocolate brown in someone’s outfit. Sometimes, it’s both! The two colors have become very trendy recently, and styling them is fairly easy. Pair a lacy green top with some brown corduroy pants, and expect plenty of compliments. Additionally, flared-or-baggy-anything has made its comeback as people seek out flared leggings, baggy jeans, and anything else that’s reminiscent of the 90s and y2k looks.

Stay warm and cozy with sweater vests, crew necks, and turtlenecks. These options will keep anyone comfortable, and if styled correctly, they can be brought to another level. Layer a collared shirt underneath a crew neck or sweater vest, and pair it with a pleated skirt for the popular preppy look, or throw on some baggy jeans to keep it casual and stylish. Be sure to bundle up with leather jackets, puffer jackets, and blazers. They’re great options for avoiding the approaching cold weather, while staying fashionable. These are looks that absolutely anyone can pull off!

Accessories can make or break an outfit, especially shoes. Get classy with oxfords, or edgy with some platform boots or sneakers. Remember that a pop of color is always a good idea, especially when it starts to get dark and gloomy out.

Next up, jewelry can always be worn to spice up a simple outfit. Pair chunky gold earrings with your favorite sweats, and you’ve got yourself a look! And don’t forget to pair it with some rings and necklaces.

Finally, an accessory that everyone should be including in their outfits, are masks! People often overlook the fashionability of masks in the midst of the pandemic, but here’s a reminder that they can actually add to a look rather than take away from it. Get a variety of different colors and designs to pair with outfits. It’s a great way to stay safe, while staying trendy.

Waking up to go to school each morning can start to feel like an exhausting task as the year goes on, but anyone can battle this feeling when they feel cute, confident, and safe.
