The End of the Year Grind

It’s the end of the year now, and there is about 3 weeks to go. And it seems like everyone has given up on learning or trying to learn. I for one, have especially given up since AP classes are over and the finals are not until the last 4 days of school. It seems like there is no reason to be in school anymore and no reason to even try.

For me, school has become a place for busywork and long arduous classes. I have definitely put effort into my classes but since the AP exams, it’s been hard to try in anything. I, along with many students, feel burned out and have no motivation to do well except to get the grade to pass.

I saw this in many of my classes, for example, a couple days ago in my history class we had a test, but not one student cared enough to remember. Although it was a relatively easy test, a lot of people still failed. The teacher was disappointed, although he knew the reason why: It’s the end of the year.

But even though it’s the end of the year teachers are still giving out tests, quizzes, projects, etc. And so the grind continues even though every part of me just wants to sit on my couch and watch TV.
