After a week filled with spirit days, pep rallies, and football excitement, the Colonials capped off Homecoming week with a night to remember. The annual Homecoming Dance, held on Friday night in the school gym, brought together students from every grade to celebrate school pride, friendship, and community.
This year’s theme, Hollywood Red Carpet, transformed the space into a vibrant setting with lights, music, and decorations that perfectly captured the spirit of the night. Students showed up dressed to impress, filling the dance floor as the DJ played a mix of today’s hits and fan-favorite throwbacks.
A highlight of the evening was the announcement of the 2025 Homecoming King and Queen, Steven Picciolo and Sophia Jaworski. The crowd erupted in cheers as the two were crowned, marking one of the most memorable moments of the night.
From King, Steven Picciolo:
It’s a surreal moment. It’s very cool and I was very excited at that moment.
From Queen, Sophia Jaworski:
Winning the homecoming queen means a lot to me. It’s kind of in case because I’ve been going to Homecoming all four years and watching everybody else win Homecoming queen. It’s just very surreal that I’m finally the one winning it.
As the night came to an end, students left with smiles, photos, and memories that will last far beyond Homecoming week. The 2025 Homecoming Dance proved once again that school spirit is alive and well at Colonial High
