Are People Celebrating Christmas Too early?

The long-awaited question people are asking themselves every year as stores begin to sell Christmas decorations in August. To this, I answer no, because the holidays bring a sense of togetherness, coziness, joy, and laughter. So when the weather gets significantly colder and the days shorter, I think it’s safe to say that those feelings begin to diminish. It can never hurt to have something to be excited about and look forward to. The people who don’t like Christmas being celebrated early are the people who want it to be contained into a certain time frame, but the thing about celebrating is that it never has and never will have a confined time frame. So if you like having Christmas decorations up early, great. And if you don’t, that’s okay, just remember it can never hurt to have a little bit more happiness and something that reminds you about the joys of celebrating the holidays with your loved ones.

Christmas time is marked by feelings of joy and love. It’s hard NOT to be happy with gorgeous lights, fun decorations, and festive cheer all around which is part of the reason why many call it “the most wonderful time of the year”. And unfortunately, the beginning of winter can mean a lot of that seasonal depresson that comes from freezing temperatures, less sunlight, and shorter days. So honestly who can blame someone for yearning to celebrate a bit early?
