From Here On Out

From Here On Out

By Diana Sandoval, Staff Writer

From here on out
Many things can happen
A great racial divide
The increase of hate crimes
Within a nation that we took not enough action to protect.

I see nightmares that turn into reality
The deportation of millions
An even greater separation of loved ones
The ones I consider truly privileged
Are ones who are not considered “un-American”
It saddens me that a leader will leave us more uncertainty

From here on out
I see motivation for a greater action for a better nation
Groups that will fight for unity
For Peace
For the imaginary borders around us to be knocked down
For us to see a better perspective of people.

Only from here on out
Our distant future is left undecided.
