As time draws closer to New Jersey’s governor election, parties have been pushing their campaigns, trying to get the most votes for incumbent Phil Murphy (who is running for a second term) or nominee Jack Ciattarelli.

Murphy has done quite a few impactful things in NJ since he took office in 2018. For example, he has raised the minimum wage from $8.60 to $11 in 2020 (following his 2024 $15/hr minimum wage path), legalized weed for adults, and led NJ residents through the COVID-19 pandemic.

On the other hand, opponent Ciattarelli claims that if people vote for him, he would lower property taxes, build a stronger economy, stand with law enforcement, provide affordable healthcare, and much more.

Both claim they can make NJ a better state, but who will really come out on top? Who will win the 2021 gubernatorial election? We shall see when votes come out and are counted.
