The English Language.  Something we use and take for granted every day. There are over 100,000 words in the English language that constantly help us express what we are feeling. That being said, there are some words in the language that just hit the perfect spot in our hearts. I have compiled a list of my peers’ favorite words as well as my own. This is what I’ve gathered.

My favorite word is apricity which means the warmth of the sun in the winter. I LOVE this word because the feeling of sunshine warming me up and filling me with happiness in the winter when it’s cold and dark is so comforting and reminds me of summer and warmer days. -Dani Pont

Unpredictable because you live life in the moment and everything is unpredictable. -Claudia Ray

Sunshine because it reminds me of summer which is one of my favorite times of the year. -Sophie Dantonio

My favorite word in the English language is beauty. When someone uses the term “beauty” or “beautiful” we think of something that is jaw dropping, attractive and desirable. But in reality, beauty can be perceived in various ways. The perception of “beauty” varies from person to person, which I always found fascinating. -Destiny Claudio

To end it all off, my favorite word in the English language is emotions. It is my favorite word because humans express emotions in order to connect with others. The ability to show and feel the emotions of joy and excitement are some of the most exhilarating times in a person’s life. Even negative emotions help us connect our heads to our hearts and express ourselves to others. Overall, I just feel emotion is so powerful in everyday life. -Kate Wildman
