2023: Is it Moving Too Fast?

We’re nearing mid-May of 2023 and I can’t be the only one who thinks that this year has gone by so quickly. I honestly still can’t believe that it’s 2023. It was just like yesterday when I remember starting sophomore year. Now, it’s almost over.

It won’t be long until we’re out for summer break and the seniors graduate. Everything after New Year’s seems like a blur. When teachers and adults say that high school would go by really quickly, I would always disagree with them. Now, I think I finally understand what they mean. I’m halfway through my high school years and I somehow feel a bit nostalgic. It’s hard for me to believe that I’ll be a junior in 5 months.

Time isn’t slowing down or moving faster, it’s just all about the way we spend our time. It makes us perceive time differently. For me, these last few months of my life have all been great. I can’t say they’ve all been happy moments but I’ve discovered a lot of new things about myself that I didn’t know about before and time flew by.

Sometimes people spend too much time worrying about the past or future that they don’t get to see where they are in the present. Time passes by, that is inevitable. So let’s make our present worth it!
